I am an avid and eclectic reader and audiobook lover. I never go anywhere where there is a possibility of idle time waiting without something to read. I generally have two to three books going at one time. Like many bookaholics, I have been known to blow off work if I am involved in a great read. I never intend to have a book collection, but from time to time it overflows and I have to cull it to "reasonable" for the space I have, but then we all know that books don't always need shelves upon which to rest. By last summer, my books had begun to overwhelm even me and so I sorted and mourned the 200 I parted with that I donated to a struggling community library in the Adirondacks in New York that gets a pittance of public funding. It felt great to fund their annual book sale.
